Atlas may collect information you provide when creating an account, submitting an item, using marketplace services, contacting support, or completing a transaction. This can include contact information, business information, transaction information, device identifiers such as IMEI numbers, vehicle identifiers such as VINs, and information needed to provide requested services.
How we use information
We use information to operate Atlas, authenticate users, provide device and vehicle intelligence, process marketplace activity, prevent fraud, provide customer support, improve services, maintain records, and comply with legal and financial obligations.
Payments
Payment processing is provided by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Atlas does not require customers to send full payment-card numbers directly to Atlas support. Payment providers may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy practices.
Service providers
Atlas may use service providers to support payment processing, fraud prevention, infrastructure, analytics, communications, device intelligence, vehicle intelligence, and other business functions. Information is shared only as reasonably necessary to provide those services or comply with applicable requirements.
Data security
Atlas uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain transaction and compliance records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You may contact Atlas support regarding questions about your account or personal information. Certain information may need to be retained for transactions, fraud prevention, regulatory, tax, or legal purposes.
